Country music’s biggest night is finally here!

Live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the 2024 Country Music Association Awards are set to honor the most extraordinary acts in country music from the past year, with some celebrity appearances from the worlds of sports, film and everything in between.

With Morgan Wallen leading the list of nominees with seven total nods, and A-listers like Kelsea Ballerini, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs expected to take the stage, keep reading to learn everything you need to know about the 2024 CMA Awards.

Who will host the CMA Awards 2024?

Move over Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning – a new flared bell bottom queen has joined the party. Lainey Wilson, who made history last year when she became the only artist to ever lead the nominations in her first two times on the ballot, will join Bryan and Manning to host the ceremony this year.

“I couldn’t be more excited to host the CMA Awards this year with Luke and Peyton. It’s such an incredible honor and something I’ve always dreamed of doing. We’re planning a really great show for you all, so make sure to see on November 20,” Wilson says in a press release.

Who is nominated for the 2024 CMA Awards?

This year’s nominee list is led by Wallen, who received seven nominations in categories, including coveted entertainer of the year and male vocalist of the year.

Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson each earned five nominations, while Post Malone and Lainey Wilson scored four each.

Several stars, including Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Kacey Musgraves, Combs and producers/songwriters Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome and Hoskins, received three nominations for their respective categories.

Absent from the list was Beyoncé, who earlier this year became the first black woman to ever top the chart Billboard Top Country Albums chart with Cowboy Carter and the Hot Country Songs chart with her track “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

In addition to Ballerini, Jelly Roll and Combs, live acts include Brooks & Dunn, Musgraves, Eric Church, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Noah Kahan, Megan Moroney and Bailey Zimmerman.

Bryan, Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Sierra Hull, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Ashley McBryde, Post Malone, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, Teddy Swims, Thomas Rhett and Molly Tuttle round out the list of artists.

The star-studded list of presenters includes Simone Biles, Jeff Bridges, Katharine McPhee, Clint Black, Mark Collie, Jordan Davis, Reddie Freeman, Don Johnson, Jackson Laux, Little Big Town, Dustin Lynch, The Oak Ridge Boys, Taylor Frankie Paul, Carly Pearce, Caleb Pressley, Nate Smith, Daniel Sunjata, Mitchell Tenpenny and Billy Bob Thornton.

Who will receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 CMA Awards?

The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, first introduced in 2012, is given to “an iconic artist who has achieved the highest degree of recognition in country music.”

Receiving the honor this year is George Strait, whom Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer described in a statement as “authentic Texas and authentic country.”

“As a three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and the most nominated artist of all time, he serves as an inspiration and icon to many of the great new artists we know today. I’m thrilled we’re bestowing him with this well-deserved honor. ” she said.
