Airline announces new routes from Myrtle Beach International Airport

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – An airline is bringing new routes to Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Allegiant on Tuesday announced three new routes on MYR as part of the airline’s latest expansion.

Routes include Plattsburgh, New York, via Plattsburgh International Airport; Grand Rapids, Michigan, via Gerald R. Ford International Airport; and Niagara Falls/Buffalo, New York, via Niagara Falls International Airport.

The Plattsburgh route begins May 15, 2025, and the Grand Rapids and Buffalo routes begin May 22, 2025. Allegiant said all three new routes will start with one-way fares as low as $59.

Including the new routes, which will operate twice weekly, Allegiant offers twenty destinations from MYR, officials said.

“Today we are pleased to celebrate Allegiant Airlines’ continued commitment to our airport and community by adding three exciting new routes,” said MYR Director of Airports Judi Olmstead. “Allegiant has been an exceptional airline partner for many years, consistently providing convenient and affordable travel options for our customers. These new routes will provide better access between the Grand Strand and underserved regions of Michigan, upstate New York and Canada, with high demand for direct flights. We look forward to welcoming even more passengers to Allegiant this summer.”

Across the country, Allegiant announced a total of 44 new nonstop routes. The company calls this one of its biggest service expansions ever.

The expansion includes routes to three new cities, one of which is Columbia, South Carolina.
