Sabrina is a carpenter is working late because she’s getting ready to debut her new Netflix Christmas special.

The former Disney Channel star brings the sparkle, the gloom and a whole lot of surprises in her first-ever holiday variety, “A Nonsense Christmas.”

The official trailer for the special debuted during Sabrina Carpenter’s final US show of her tour in Los Angeles on Monday, November 18, and fans are already buzzing with excitement.

“Christmas is coming early this year,” Carpenter teased at the start of the trailer. “I wouldn’t count on a quiet night.”

The trailer offers a glimpse of what’s to come, including Carpenter dazzling in a hot pink, Madonna-inspired evening dress for a dance number reminiscent of the iconic “Material Girl” music video. “Welcome to A Nonsense Christmas,” she declares. “Hope you like surprises.”

And there are surprises! The special is packed with an all-star lineup of musical guests, including duets with Chappell RoanTyla, Shania Twainand Kali Uchis. Viewers can also look forward to performances by Nico Hiraga, Quinta Brunson, Cara DelevingneSean Astin, Kyle Mooney, Megan Stalter, Jillian Bell and Owen Thiele.

‘A Nonsense Christmas’ is full of surprises

The trailer ends with a nice surprise, teasing “holiday classics and Sabrina’s holiday hits,” before cutting to a cameo from Santa himself. In a humorous twist, Santa looks into a mirror while singing a recreated excerpt of Sabrina’s song “Espresso,” playfully changing the lyrics to “I work late because I’m Santa.”

“A Nonsense Christmas” premieres on December 6 at 9pm ET/6pm PT exclusively on Netflix, promising a festive mix of show-stopping performances, comedy and star-studded cameos. Carpenter will perform songs from his holiday EP along with other iconic holiday covers, mixing his signature charm with a playful holiday vibe.

In a cover story interview for TIME’s TIME100 Next issue, the 25-year-old pop star opened up about embracing her sexuality in her work and how it has exposed her to similar criticism that icons like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have faced throughout their careers. .

When asked if she faces similar criticism, Carpenter replied, “No, I certainly understand that as well.”

“Someone told me this when I’d get upset or feel like I’m the only one being criticized for something other people are able to do seemingly so freely: I’m the one who sees all the negative crap about myself,” she said. “My friends don’t see that.”
