Jennifer Lawrence wears brown dress to the 2024 Governors Awards

Awards season has officially begun, and it’s no surprise that the stars are already hitting the runways. On Sunday, the 2024 Governors Awards took place in Los Angeles, with everyone putting their most stylish foot forward on the red carpet—Jennifer Lawrence included.

At the awards ceremony, Lawrence, who is pregnant with her second child, proudly showed off her baby bump in a Bottega Veneta dress from the brand’s upcoming pre-fall 2025 collection in an unexpected color. Instead of black or ivory, the actress instead opted for a rich chocolate brown shade that’s already shaping up to be one of the hottest shades of the winter. The dress had draping around her growing belly and at the chest, as well as two geometric gold accents: one at the shoulder and one at the stomach.

Lawrence carried a gold braided leather clutch that matched her earrings, and she finished off the accessories with a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels and Ana Khouri jewelry.

Beauty-wise, J.Law pulled her blonde hair back into a sleek bun that showed off her new pregnancy fringe. Plum lipstick, dark eyeliner and a dab of highlighter completed her glam look.

J.Law’s bump has been on the red carpet lately, initially making its debut at the 2024 AFI Festival for the premiere of her new documentary Zurawski vs. Texas in a white double-breasted Dior midi dress back in October. Several weeks later, her baby bump made another appearance while draped in a sheer black vintage Christian Lacroix dress on Apple TV’s Bread & Roses screening.
