Newcastle Public Schools shared a message to families saying,

There is severe weather with the possibility of tornadoes expected tomorrow morning when we would normally run bus routes. I want to push back school start times:

The high school and middle school start at 10:00

ECC starts at 11:00

Primary school starts at 11.10am

All sites are rejected at the normal time.

All buses leave the bus depot at 9:00 a.m. You will receive a message from the transport department with further information about timetables. I will monitor the weather in the morning and will issue additional communications if the storm timeline changes and we are unable to run the buses at 9:00.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me and keep an eye on the weather tonight and tomorrow morning.

In a message to families, Union City Schools said,

UC Families, with severe severe weather predicted to be in our area tomorrow morning and wind dynamics expected to be in the severe range during the regular morning commute for our bus drivers, teachers and students, we want to ensure everyone’s safety by planning for a late start tomorrow.

The buses run at 9.30am.

The school doors open at 10:00 as long as all severe weather has cleared the area.

If not, and we need to adjust, we will do so tomorrow morning. We hope that by pushing this information out early, it will help families plan accordingly.

Be safe and pay attention to the weather.
