Christmas came early too Jason Kelce.

The former NFL player’s new song featuring Stevie Nicks’ “Maybe This Christmas,” from his annual charity Christmas album with Philadelphia Eagles teammates, actually knocked Mariah Carey‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ from number one on the iTunes holiday chart.

After delivering the news to him during their “New heights” podcast on November 13, Travis Kelce bestowed upon Jason a new title.

“Jason, how does it feel to be the new queen of Christmas?” Travis asked his brother.

“You know, I’ve been fighting my whole life to be the Queen of Christmas,” Jason joked back, “and the fact that we’re finally there is just really special.”

While Jason Kelce and Nicks took over the top spot on iTunesCarey’s 1994 single has not been short of major accolades. The official Queen of Christmas hit has sat atop Billboard’s Hot Holidays Chart for 60 weeks.

Kylie Kelce keeps it real. While appearing on the “Today” show, the mother of three shared what she hopes her husband Jason Kelce does now that he’s officially retired from the NFL.

The ESPN commentator revealed that he has an idea why the song picked up steam so early in the holiday season.

“I know we caught it in early November. We’ll see if it holds up for the rest of Christmas,” continued Jason Kelce. “We kind of caught it in the Christmas slump, like there aren’t that many people listening to Christmas music, so we jumped in there.”

His duet with the Fleetwood Mac frontman will appear at the upcoming “A Philly Special Christmas Party” on November 22nd. The annual holiday album Jason Kelce and former teammates Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson – a vocal trio known as The Philly Specials – is releasing for charity.

And for the athlete, getting to work with the legendary musician – who is friends with Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift – was nothing short of a dream.

“Singing with Stevie Nicks was incredible,” Jason told Travis. “I’m just in awe that it actually happened. This is really, really cool. There’s zero percent chance that a song I’m in is going to stream number one on any service in any genre.”

Travis didn’t credit his brother for the song’s success, snapping back, “Don’t give yourself too much credit, it’s Stevie Nicks.”
