The teaser of Nayanthara’s upcoming film Rakkayie is finally out. On Monday, the actress took to her Instagram handle and shared the teaser, leaving fans ecstatic. Sharing key details about Nayanthara’s film, the teaser reveals that she will be seen in the role of a mother who will do anything to protect her daughter from ‘monsters’.

The teaser shows Nayanthara in her never-seen-before fierce avatar. She is seen fighting thugs with a sword. The actress is also seen maintaining an intense facial expression.

“In a land where justice is but a memory…There lived a mother whose world was her child…But when her daughter’s life is threatened by a monster…She doesn’t run… She doesn’t falter.. .Instead she declares war.. ,” she wrote in the caption.

On Sunday, Nayanthara also shared a poster of the film where she was seen standing solidly in the middle of what appeared to be a battlefield with her back to the camera. Interestingly, this comes at a time when Nayanthara has been making headlines for her fight with Dhanush. Recently, she wrote down an open letter to the Tamil actor, blaming him for denying an NOC to use elements from their 2015 film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’. She mentioned that during the making of her Netflix documentary, she had sought permission from Dhanush to use images from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
