The Dutton family faces a devastating loss when John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner until last season, is found dead of a gunshot wound in his bathroom, the death initially ruled a suicide.

However, it is later revealed that John’s murder was orchestrated by Jamie Dutton’s girlfriend, Sarah Atwood, who hired an assassin to stage the scene.

This shocking event sets the stage for escalating tensions and conflicts within the family. The remaining episodes of the season will undoubtedly unfold as only a classic evening soap can.
