Time, TV channel for Jon Jones fight at Madison Square Garden

game

The UFC is back in the city that never sleeps as Madison Square Garden hosts UFC 309 this weekend.

The big news here is the long-awaited return of Jon Jones, one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport, making his first start back in the octagon in 20 months as he faces Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight championship in the main event.

Jones was scheduled to defend his UFC heavyweight title against Miocic at UFC 295 at MSG this time last year, but the fight had to be pushed back after Jones suffered a torn pectoral tendon leading up to the fight that required surgery.

Instead, it was Alex Pereira who defeated Jiri Prochazka for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship on November 11, 2023. Jones last fought at UFC 285, where he defeated Ciryl Gane by first-round submission last March in Las Vegas.

It will be the second time this year that the UFC is in the tri-state area, with UFC 302 taking place at the Prudential Center back in early June in Newark, New Jersey.

Here’s what you need to know about how to watch, stream and more for the highly anticipated UFC 309 event:
