14 seconds agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Spencer Martin will man the field in Saturday’s matchup against Ottawa. The Hurricanes are forced to turn to their third glove because of injuries to Frederik Andersen (lower body) and Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed). With recent reports suggesting that Andersen may need surgery, we could see Martin much more often going forward. The 29-year-old has made one start and one relief appearance this season, registering a 5.20 goals-against average and a .805 save percentage. It has been a struggle for Martin, but he is playing behind a very strong team. The bookies consider Carolina a -167 favorite on Saturday, meaning Martin is expected to pick up his first win of the campaign.Taavi Pailk – RotoBaller
