Texas Tech enters second bye week coming off loss

LUBBOCK, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Red Raiders are heading into their second bye week of the season, but in a much different position than they were a month ago.

Texas Tech has gone 1-3 since their last bye week, which saw them fall out of Big 12 title game contention, which is in stark contrast to the 5-1 position they were in previously.

“Coming off a loss like that, we need a week to take a deep breath and get back on track,” head coach Joey McGuire said.

If the Red Raiders can pull through and win their bowl game, Texas Tech would achieve its first nine-win season since 2009. You can learn more in the video above.
