Unchanged Australia win the toss and elect to bat in the 2nd T20 against Pakistan

SYDNEY (AP) – An unchanged Australian team won the toss and elected to bat in the second Twenty20 against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Glenn Maxwell’s 43 runs from 19 balls powered Australia for a 29-run victory in a rain-shortened seven-overs-a-side match in the first T20 in Brisbane on Thursday.

Australia kept faith with the same playing XI that thumped the tourists in the opening match of the three-match series.

Pakistan brought in 25-year-old left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem in place of Haseebullah Khan. Muqeem made his T20 debut in the last Asian Games in Hangzhou, where he took four wickets in three matches against Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Pakistan won the previous ODI series 2-1.

Hobart hosts the third and final T20 on Monday.
