Sylvester Stallone makes bold claim about Donald Trump

Sylvester Stallone feel a certain way about the president-elect Donald Trumpand he makes sure everyone knows it.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, the actor and filmmaker shared several bold comparisons between the 78-year-old reality TV star-turned-politician and unlikely subjects, as captured in a C-SPAN video released to X (formerly Twitter).

“We are in the presence of a truly mythical character,” he said during his speech introducing Trump at the America First Policy Institute gala held at the Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. “I love mythology. And this Individual doesn’t exist on this planet. No one in the world could have accomplished what he accomplished, so I’m in awe.

Stallone, also 78, went on to call Trump “the other George Washington.”

“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea he was going to change the world. Because without him, you could imagine what the world would be like. Guess what? We got the second George Washington.”

Elsewhere during his speech, the King of Tulsa star claimed the opening scene in Rocky, which superimposes an image of Jesus on a frame of the titular boxer getting hit, could be updated and replaced with Trump, suggesting: “At that moment he (Rocky Balboa) was a chosen person and that’s how I began the journey – something was If that were to happen, this man would go through a metamorphosis and change lives, just like President Trump.”

The former Apprentice personality seemed pleased with the remarks as he walked on stage and shook Stallone’s hand.

While Stallone, notably, did not publicly endorse a candidate in the 2024 election season, in a 2016 interview with Blackthe Rambo alum told reporters he “loves” Trump and even joined him in the Oval Office during his first term posthumous pardon former world champion boxer Jack Johnson.

Stallone is the latest celebrity to speak out in support of the former president convicted of 34 felonies and his vice presidential pick, JD Vancejoins Kid Rock, Elon Musk, Dennis Quaid, Buzz Aldrin and Dr. Phil.
