Fortnite’s X2 Twins ‘disappear’ as TikTok posts spark ‘dead’ rumours

The sudden disappearance of the x2Twins is causing concern among fans

A viral TikTok post sparked rumors earlier this week of the alleged ‘death’ of the famous Fortnite duo – X2 twins. It said that the players, Jesse Eckley and Jordan Eckley‘died due to hearing loss from sweating too hard in Fortnite’. However, neither the twins’ family nor their representatives have confirmed their alleged deaths. Notably, the X2 twins haven’t posted on their account for days.

“The twin players, known as the x2Twins, both died recently. 23-year-old Jesse Eckley and Jordan Eckley both died of heart failure from sweating too hard in Fortnite. The twin players will be missed,” the post on TikTok read.

The Australian twin brothers are popular in Fortnite circles and also create content on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.

The ‘death rumours’ gained traction, especially since the brothers have been absent from social media and gaming platforms. The two have logged over 3,000 hours of gameplay and earned recognition as top Fortnite players in the Oceanic (OCE) gaming scene. They have over six million subscribers on YouTube and 2.5 million TikTok followers. However, they haven’t uploaded any content or posted updates in months.

Reactions on social media:

One person claimed the two were dead in an X-post. “The gaming world has been left in shock as word has emerged of the sudden passing of Jordan and Jesse Eckley, the talented duo known as the “X2Twins.” they tweeted.

“X2 TILLINGS ARE DEAD WHAT???” asked another shocked fan on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Even YouTuber TimmyFNBR weighed in on their disappearance. He noted that the twins had not uploaded any content for eight months.
