McDonald’s is gearing up for the holiday season with the return of a fan-favorite dessert.

McDonald’s Holiday Pie will return to limited restaurants nationwide on Friday, Nov. 15, a McDonald’s spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY. The pie will be available while stocks last.

The Holiday Pie was first introduced by McDonald’s in 1999, the spokesperson said, and has been a holiday ever since. This year, the dessert will join McDonald’s classic apple pie on Sweets and treats menu.

Which cities will McDonald’s Holiday Pie be available?

Seattle, Washington; Los Angeles, California; St. Louis, Missouri; New York City, New York; Cleveland, Ohio; Memphis, Tennessee; and Dallas Texas are examples of cities where the pies will be offered, but they may also be available elsewhere.

A McDonald’s spokesperson said customers should check the McDonald’s mobile app to determine if the Holiday Pie is sold at a location near them.

What is McDonald’s Holiday Pie made of?

According to McDonald’sHoliday Pie is made with “creamy, smooth custard nestled in a flaky, buttery crust, glazed with sugar and topped with rainbow sprinkles.” The pie has 260 calories.

Social media reacts to the return of McDonald’s Holiday Pie in 2024

Although the Holiday Pie is set to launch on Friday, some fans have already gotten their hands on them and are sharing their excitement on social media.

The TikTok account Jas and Kam food reviews shared Wednesday that McDonald’s in their area already brought the holiday pie.

“It already feels better. That custard filling on the inside. It reminds me of a confetti cookie,” said one user in the video. Jas and Kam are based in Greensboro, North Carolina, but they did not specify which McDonald’s they purchased the pies from.

Bootleg Food Review, another food-centric TikTok account, posted a video about the return of the holiday pie on Wednesday as well.

“This isn’t a review today. Oh no, it’s not. It’s just an annual reminder that McDonald’s Holiday Pie is back in limited locations, and it’s the most perfect pie they’ve ever put on the menu .” user Jaysyn said. “10 out of 10 and happy holidays.”

Bootleg Food Review is based in San Antonio, Texas, but Jaysyn did not indicate where he purchased his Holiday Pie.
