Did AOC remove her pronouns from X bio? Here's what happened
Pronouns were missing from AOC’s X biography.

Social media platforms X and Reddit were abuzz with speculation that the Democratic leader Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (Rep New York District 14) removed her pronoun she/her from X. This came at a time when liberals are reportedly abandoning the X platform “for good” following Donald Trump’s election victory. According to claims on social media, many democratic leaders including the AOC lost hundreds of thousands of supporters in the “post-election fallout”.
“AOC removing pronouns from her bio is one hell of a mood swing,” wrote one social media user. However, X’s community notes suggested that AOC did not remove her pronouns after the election result, she could have done that months ago but came to the notice now.

“If you’re wondering why AOC dropped her pronouns in her bio, it may have something to do with the massive exodus from the Democratic Party of Hispanic voters. Many have conservative values and aren’t keen on gender ideology. They care about low prices and strong borders,” read one post.
“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez @AOC took her pronouns out of her X biography. According to the Internet Archive, this happened sometime between August 3, 2023 and May 18, 2024. In November 2022, she apologized for not including her pronouns in her Insta bio, saying “They fell off,” one user wrote.
“You know when AOC removes her pronouns from her bio, the world heals,” wrote one.
Republican leader Marjorie Taylor Greene said the AOC needs to explain its action “after shoving gender lies and crazy ideology down people’s throats for years, why has she removed her pronouns?”.
AOC is rumored to be pregnant according to right-wing activist Laura Loomer’s conspiracy theory. “Hey @AOC The election is over. You can come out and finally admit you’re pregnant. Or do you wait until the 9th month to abort? The election is over, cupcake?” Laura Loomer recently wrote.
