Bradley Beal, Grayson Allen out of Suns-Kings rematch with injuries

SACRAMENTO — Phoenix Suns guards Bradley Beal and Grayson Allen have been ruled out of Wednesday’s rematch against Sacramento Kings (6-5) at Golden 1 Center in the second of a back-to-back.

Beal (left calf contusion) and Allen (right hamstring soreness) were previously listed as questionable. The Suns will start Tyus Jones, Devin Booker, Royce O’Neale, Ryan Dunn and Jusuf Nurkic.

This will be O’Neale’s first start this season and Dunn’s fifth.

Beal did not play the final 7:19 of the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s NBA Cup road win against the Utah Jazz as he checked out with a strained left calf.

Beal scored 24 points in 29 minutes and said after Tuesday’s win that he felt a tight calf after kicking himself on a crossover move in the third quarter.

Beal was hopeful after Tuesday’s game that he would play Wednesday. He believes the calf injury is partly a result of DeMar DeRozan having his left knee roll onto a made basket by the Kings forward in Sunday’s overtime home loss.

Allen scored 15 points Tuesday in closing out the game for the Suns (9-2).

Jusuf Nurkic is no longer on the injury report after missing Tuesday’s game with left ankle soreness. He did not play the second half and overtime of Sunday’s game.

Mason Plumlee started for Nurkic on Tuesday and posted a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Kevin Durant (left calf strain) and Collin Gillespie (right ankle fracture) remain out. Durant will be re-evaluated on the weekend of the 23rd-24th. November, while Gillespie will be reassessed in four weeks.

Dunn started a second straight game for Durant. The rookie forward chipped in eight points and went 2-of-2 from 3.

The Suns continue their four-game road trip Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder and wrap it up Sunday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This will be the first game against the T-Wolves since the 2024 playoffs. Phoenix was the first team eliminated from postseason play when Minnesota swept the Suns in the first round.
