ONE Verizon Fio’s internet outage affects millions of customers in the Washington, DC region, including millions along the East Coast.

The affected area stretches about 300 miles from Philadelphia to Richmond, Virginia, according to the website Down detector.

Reports of the power outages increased between midnight and 02.00. At least 10,000 people in the DC region have reported experiencing a power outage.

A Verizon spokesperson released the following statement to FOX 5:

“A network issue early this morning disrupted service for some Verizon Fios customers in the Northeast for a short period of time. Once the problem was identified, our engineering team quickly restored service.”
