Live Updates – Follow Paddy McGuinness’s Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge for Radio 2 in aid of Children in Need

A reminder of today’s routepublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time November 11

Wrexham already feels like a lifetime ago for Paddy, but it all started there on Zoe Ball’s show this morning.

Out of Wrexham, Paddy headed north towards the Flintshire village of Hope – which is exactly what will keep him going this week.

After Hope, Paddy turned east and danced between the Welsh/English border before hitting Chester.

From here it was a “short” hop, skip and a jump through Moston, Ellesmere Port and Birkenhead before catching the ferry across the Mersey.

After being treated to a school choir rendition of ‘Yellow Submarine’ in Liverpool, he drove on through Kirkby and on into Lancashire.

The lovely people of Ormskirk cheered him on against Burscough, Rufford and Tarleton before he hit the home straight into Preston via Penwortham.

His destination for today is Moor Park – and he’s no stranger to this particular park thanks to Radio 2 in the Park, which takes place here in September. You can see best pieces on iPlayer now, with Sting, Pet Shop Boys, Sugababes and more.

You can follow his progress live via BBC children in need, outer website.
