It might not seem like a big deal that MarShawn Lloyd is back from injury after the third-round 2024 NFL Draft pick out of USC played one game and totaled 15 yards.

But it is in fantasy football and I will explain why.

First, the Green Bay Packers have one of the best strengths of remaining schedules for running backs in the NFL. And yes, while that means good things for Josh Jacobs, I wonder if the Packers will try to lighten the veteran’s load after the bye so he could be fresher for the playoffs. Emanuel Wilson has been getting some work behind Jacobs lately.

Jacobs paid tribute to Lloyd lately, which should also tell you something. And if Jacobs gets hurt? Well, Lloyd may end up with a lot more workload than if Jacobs were on the field. It’s that time of year to save guys like that.

There you go.
