Minnesota Weather: Showers Wednesday, warm up to end the week

Expect afternoon showers in the Twin Cities with temperatures in the mid-40s.

Wednesday outlook

The Twin Cities metro will get a dry and quiet start to the day with showers expected in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain in the mid-40s, with a high of 46 degrees, and southeast winds at 10-15+ mph.

Cloud cover will increase throughout the morning as showers move in from the west. The heaviest precipitation is likely to remain in the central parts of Minnesota and near the western edges of the metro. Scattered showers may reach the Twin Cities in the afternoon and last into the evening before gradually tapering off.

Overnight, conditions will remain mostly cloudy with light winds and mild temperatures in the low 40s.

Looking ahead

Thursday was supposed to be a quiet day with partial sunshine and a temperature of 49 degrees. Friday looks nice with light winds, lots of sunshine and 53 degrees.

As the week ends, temperatures will remain in the 50s, extending into early next week. A weather system could provide another chance for rain on Tuesday along with cooler temperatures for the latter half of next week.
