Kevin Love offers support after ex-Duke star Kyle Singler raises concerns with alarming video

Miami Heat star Kevin Love offered support to his former high school rival and ex-Duke standout Kyle Singler on Tuesday after he posted an alarming Instagram video.

In a post from this weekSingler, 36, said he fears for his life “every day.”

“Every day sā€“t gets thrown my way,” he said. “I have been mistreated and abused. Neglected. Made a mental example.”

Love, who has spoken about her own struggles with mental health, commented on the post to offer support to Singler.

ā€œI love you, Kyle,ā€ the five-time All-Star said. “Hit me anytime.”

Heat up later went to Xand asks everyone to shower Singler “with the love and support he needs.”

“I would not be who I am today without him. I am forever indebted and love him. To the NBA family, the Duke BB family and the South Medford community ā€“ let’s show up for one of our own.”

Love and Singler have known each other since they were teenagers, with the two often facing each other in high school.

While Love was a one-and-done with UCLA, joined the NBA and became one of the most feared shooters in the league, Singler became a legend at Duke as a four-year Blue Devils starter.

During his junior year, Singler helped lead Duke to a national title and was named the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

Following his college career, Singler played in the NBA from 2012-2018 with the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder.

He later retired in 2019 after a stint in Europe.
