Producer and art collector Benny Blanco featured in People Magazine

Benny Blanco, the Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer, recently joined the People Magazine2024 “Sexiest Man Alive” edition along with his art collection.

Blanco was photographed by the magazine at his home in Los Angeles. In one photograph, Blanco is seen at her dining room table next to a plate of nachos, framed in front of the George Condo portrait, The musician.

“I think it looks like me,” he said Architectural Digest earlier this year in reference to the Condo painting. “I just like to have art all over the house because I don’t know what the person was feeling when they made it, but I see certain things when I walk by it and it might inspire me and I see maybe different on that. another day and be like, holy shit, I never noticed a, like, stroke there or, like, that imperfection right there, and I don’t know, it makes me happy. ”

In addition to the Condo painting, the Architectural Digest profile at Blanco’s home displayed his extensive art collection, which he described as “high-low.” Contemporary artists feature heavily – Martin Wong, Nicholas Devlin, Amia Yokoyama, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol, to name just a few – with a scattering of modern artists such as Salvador Dali. Also spotted was a plate decorated by Jonas Wood’s children; a chair sculpture made of baguettes by Lola Abbey; a tall ceramic by Jasmine Little, Raul Nieves’s Gargoyle 2 wall sculpture; Tomory Dodge’s painting Arrangementas well as one white bear bench from the AP Collection. Several plush flowers by Takashi Murakami decorate an oversized brown sectional in Blanco’s TV room.

Blanco also participated in the 2022 Frieze Los Angeles art fair.
