How to see, listen to no. 2 Alabama basketball vs. McNeese State

No. 2 Alabama basketball is currently 2-0 on the season after a tough 88-79 win over Arkansas State on Friday. Now, with just two days of rest, the Crimson Tide welcome another tough mid-major to Coleman Coliseum in the form of the McNeese State Cowboys.

McNeese is trained Will Wadea familiar face to Alabama fans. Wade was the head coach at LSU from 2017-22, leading a string of strong NCAA Tournament teams and the 2019 SEC regular season champions. Nate Oats and Wade had a number of intense games during his time in Baton Rouge, including a notable rally in the 2021 SEC Championship Game, which Alabama won 81-79.

Wade has turned McNeese into one of the best mid-major teams in the country. Last season, the Cowboys won 30 games and entered the NCAA Tournament as a 12-seed, winning the Southland Conference but falling in the first round to Gonzaga.

McNeese has a number of former high-major players brought in by Wade from the transfer portal to create a uniquely talented team for its level, including players from the ACC, Big East and SEC to name a few.
