Tuskegee falls to Miles College in Centennial homecoming game

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WSFA) – It was a golden clash between the Golden Bears and the Golden Tigers for Tuskegee University’s centennial homecoming. But the Golden Tigers left their home stadium with a 37-7 defeat at the hands of their old rivals.

Tuskegee scored only in the final quarter, by which time their opponents already had a 24-point lead. After the Golden Bears scored twice more, quarterback Raequan Beal completed a 22-yard pass to wide receiver Reggie Brigman for their only touchdown in the final minutes of the game.

Next up for the Golden Tigers is the big Turkey Day Classic at Alabama State University.

Miles College’s website says this is the third time they have defeated Tuskegee at their homecoming game since 2011.
