After the presidential election was called on Wednesday morning, Americans await the final results of races in the US House of Representatives.

All 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives were up for election this year, and as of Saturday morning, neither party had claimed control. Democrats were at 200 seats claimed, and Republicans were at 211. To take control of the House, 218 seats are needed.

Early Wednesday morning, Americans learned that former President Donald Trump was elected to serve a second term, a victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump will be sworn in on Monday, January 20, 2025. Republicans also captured majority control of the Senate.

Which races still haven’t been called?

As of Friday evening, key results are still needed from the following states:

  • Arizona (District 1, 2, 4 and 6)
  • California (Districts 9, 13, 21, 22, 27, 39, 41, 45, 47 and 49)
  • Colorado (District 8)
  • Iowa (District 1)
  • Louisiana (District 6)
  • Maine (District 2)
  • Maryland (District 6)
  • Ohio (District 9)
  • Oregon (District 5)
  • Washington (District 3 and 4)
