Romulus’ gets streaming premiere date on Hulu

Alien: Romulus—the summer movie horror hit from Alien franchise producer Ridley Scott – will soon be streaming on Hulu.

Scott turned the director’s duties over to Fede Alvarez for Alien: Romuluswhich premiered in theaters on August 16 before switching to digital streaming via premium video on demand on October 15.

Alien: Romulus is the seventh film in Alien franchise, which began with Scott’s 1979 sci-fi classic Alien. Alvarez sets the events in Alien: Romulus between Alien and its 1986 sequel Foreignersdirected by James Cameron.

The official logline for Alien: Romuluss reads: “While scouring the deep ends of an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Hulu’s ad-free package is $18.99. The streaming service also offers a student package with ads for $1.99 per month for those who qualify.

Rotten tomatoes critics highly praised Alien: Romulus, giving the film an 80% “fresh” rating based on 381 reviews.

Alien: Romulus marks the second big screen franchise rebooted by director Fede Alvarez. The filmmaker also directed Evil Dead reboot movie in 2013.
