Ravens players give their take on the ‘Purple Rising’ helmets

Mauled: They’re tough, bro. I can’t wait to wear them. I’m a purple guy. I’m from New Orleans. So (it’s) one of my favorite colors. Purple is for royalty and loyalty. That’s royal color right there. I can’t wait to put purple and gold, man. Mardi Gras colors are purple, gold and green, so it’s right up my alley.

How was practicing them last week?

Mauled: That was good, man. They looked good, they threw out. I have the cleats to match them, I’m going all purple.

If you could make a Raven’s helmet, what would it look like?

Mauled: You have purple, you have black, right? I think I would go with the all white one. All white otherwise I would do a black one and I like red. You know, we have the red eye, so I would probably do an all black helmet, for example all black, even our logo, with a big red eye, and like our accents (are red) and red numbers.
