Jermaine Burton reacts to being inactive for Bengals vs Raiders

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Jermaine Burton on Tuesday in the locker room echoed the message, “just got to get better.”

Burton reportedly did not show up for the Bengals team walkthrough on Saturday and was subsequently inactive for Sunday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Burton declined to elaborate on what happened. Head coach Zac Taylor also declined to comment on the matter.

When asked if he let his teammates down, Burton said, “for sure.” Burton repeatedly answered questions with the “must get better” mantra.

The Bengals face the Baltimore Ravens on “Thursday Night Football” this week.
