Nancy Pelosi appears to be crying at Harris concession arrangement

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., appeared somber and tearful as she waited to watch defeated candidate Vice President Kamala Harris deliver a concession speech Wednesday.

Arriving at Howard University in Washington, DC on Wednesday afternoon, Pelosi was photographed greeting Harris supporters while appearing to cry.

In one particularly emotional photo, Pelosi babbled like he was about to cry and had watery eyes. Other photos showed Pelosi smiling at the event and mingling with attendees.

Harris’ concession speech comes after a historic neck-and-neck presidential race ended in a victory for former President Trump early Wednesday morning. While the election was expected to be a toss-up, the magnitude of Trump’s victory shocked both sides of the political aisle.

Pelosi and Trump have a great deal of animosity towards each other and regularly insult each other in public. During a speech in Grand Rapids, Michigan, this week, Trump described Pelosi as something that “starts with a B.”

“She’s an evil, sick, crazy…,” the Republican candidate said, stopping short. “It starts with a ‘B’ but I don’t want to say it. I want to say it.”

Pelosi has fired back at Trump in the past, recently claiming he suffered from “cognitive degeneration” during a recent appearance on MSNBC.

“(Voters) need to know that he can’t last four years as president with his brain deteriorating at the rate it is … and they may vote for President Vance, which would be a terrible thing for our country,” Pelosi claimed.

In response, the Trump campaign insulted Pelosi in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“The only thing that’s getting worse is Nancy Pelosi, who is a rotten washed-up corrupt politician that America can’t take anymore,” Trump’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. “She should go back to the city of San Francisco, which she has totally destroyed, and never return.”
