LeBron has been a top performer in the NBA for decades, delivering numerous game-winning performances for his teams. And he proved his mettle once again last night as he etched his name into NBA history with a 39-point night.

In a performance of unfathomable consequence, LeBron, with his game against the Grizzlies today, not only became the oldest NBA star to record 35-plus points and five-plus three-pointers in a game.

What’s interesting about this record is that LeBron also holds the record for being the youngest player ever to record the same stat line in an NBA game, at the age of 18.

The 39-year-old took the game by storm today against the Grizzlies, scoring 39 points at FedEx Forum. LeBron added seven rebounds and six assists to his tally, but it still wasn’t enough for the LA Lakers to secure a victory. Combined efforts from Jaren Jackson Junior, Jaylen Wells and Ja Morant saw the Memphis Grizzlies claim a 131-114 victory.

The game between the LA Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies saw a heated moment between LeBron James and Ja Morant.

In a heated possession, Morant scored and taunted Gabe Vincent with the too-small celebration that just didn’t sit well with LeBron. The multiple NBA MVP, when he fed Morant on the next possession, hit the too-small celebration on his opponent’s face.

Yes Morant eventually got the last laugh as the LA Lakers finished with a loss. The LA Lakers will next host the Philadelphia 76ers on November 9th. The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Washington Wizards on the same day.
