Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren leaves the game after rolling his ankle

The Detroit Pistons suffered a potential injury blow on Wednesday.

Jalen Duren rolled his ankle early in the first quarter of their road game against the Charlotte Hornets. He cringed as he left the floor following a timeout by head coach JB Bickerstaff, but re-entered the game.

His ankle appeared to still be ailing him, and he did not reenter the first half after coming off the first quarter with 4:29 remaining. Paul Reed entered the game in place of Duren midway through the second quarter.

Duren has dealt with injuries to both ankles throughout his three NBA seasons. He sprained his left ankle twice last season and missed eight games in December and an additional game in April. He is averaging nine points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks per game this season.
