Harris expected to address nation after likely election loss – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Vice President Kamala Harris likely fell short in her bid to win the presidency.

Harris had not spoken about the election results at 5 Wednesday morning when her plans to speak were postponed with her Republican challenger in the lead.

Supporters were seen leaving the event at her alma mater, Howard University, around after being told she would not speak.

Campaign officials said she will speak after they make sure all votes are in.

On Wednesday, back at Howard, Harris plans to speak not just to his supporters and the university, but to the entire country.

Only two sitting vice presidents have ever taken the leap to lead the country, the last being George HW Bush in 1988.
