What did the Democrats get wrong?

In the end, this may prove that classic election results, a victory for the “time for a change” candidate.

The Democrats always fought against voter dissatisfaction with the status quo. They couldn’t run a “country is on the right track” campaign. So they tried “better the devil you know” and it seems this has proven weaker than the message of change. As it usually is.
