Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and voters can cast their ballots at any election center for the 2024 general election in El Paso County.

Texans will vote for president, U.S. senator, all 38 U.S. representatives and several key state and local offices, including Texas Supreme Court justices, district attorneys and sheriffs.

Early voting ended Friday, November 1. A total of 182,607 ballots were cast as of Friday, marking a nearly 35% early voting turnout, according to a post from the El Paso County Elections Department.

Here’s what you need to know about where to vote on Election Day:

Can I still register to vote?

No. The last day to register to vote in Texas was October 7.

When is election day?

Election day is Tuesday, November 5.

When do the polling stations open on election day?

All polling centers will be open from 7am

When does voting end on election day?

The polling stations close at 19:00

Acceptable forms of photo ID to vote in person in Texas

Texas driver’s license
Texas Voter Identification Card
Texas personal identification card
Texas gun license
US Military ID card with the person’s photo
US Citizenship Certificate with the person’s photo
US passport (book or card)
Anyone who lacks and cannot obtain one of these forms of ID can complete a Reasonable Obstacle Statement at the polling place and present an alternative form of ID, such as a bill, bank statement, government check, or voter registration certificate.

Sun Metro offers free rides on Election Day

Sun Metro will provide free rides to residents going to the polls on Election Day. Residents can board any Brio bus or fixed-route bus without the need for a passport or documentation.
