Illinois Presidential Election 2024 Live Results

Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris will face off in Illinois for the state’s 19 Electoral College votes. The liberal state voted for the Democratic candidate in the last two elections. Trump’s message to voters has focused on the economy, immigration and crime. Since taking over as the Democratic standard-bearer after President Joe Biden dropped out, Harris has argued that she would usher in a new era and has campaigned to improve the care economy, protect abortion rights and preserve democracy. In 2020, Biden won Illinois with 58% of the vote to Trump’s 41%. In 2016, Hillary Clinton won Illinois with 56% to Trump’s 39%. Illinois, a reliably blue state, has voted for the Democratic nominee in every presidential cycle since 1992.
