Mariah Carey’s Christmas wax figure is the most convincing ever

Mariah Carey’s status as the Queen of Christmas has now been immortalized in wax!

On Sunday, November 3, the singer, 55, stopped by Madame Tussauds in New York City to unveil her brand new wax figure, made especially for the Christmas season – and the likeness is uncanny.

In the photos, Carey can be seen posing exactly like her wax figure, wearing an ornament and sitting on a park bench, while wearing a glittering floor-length black dress.

The wax replica, meanwhile, wears a sparkling red dress that Madame Tussauds dubbed “reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe” and was inspired by the look she wears in her 2020 Apple TV+ holiday special, Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas.

According to one press release from the museum, the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer was amazed at how good the wax figure was, exclaiming “Oh my god, it’s surreal. Very good!”

The new figure is apart of a seasonal holiday display at the museum’s Seasons of New York City exhibit, and the snowy backdrop behind Carey’s replica even features a nod to her beloved Jack Russell Terriers.

Just last week, the singer kicked off her usual countdown to the Christmas season with a hilarious “It’s About Time” sketch that shows her transitioning from Halloween celebrations to preparing for the holidays.

Shortly after midnight on November 1, Carey shared a video about Instagram where she channeled The Addams Family’s Morticia Addams.

Dressed in her sparkly black dress, a Kay Jewelers diamond necklace, dark makeup and a black wig, Carey danced with a man dressed as Gomez Addams before pushing him off her, sending a knife at him that hit the painting behind him and smiling at the camera like a red holiday dress appeared and the countdown of dates began.

Viewers then see her sitting on a sleigh in a red fur-lined dress surrounded by gifts. Carey’s male co-star was then transformed into a dancing animated snowman, and the words “It’s Time!” flashed back up on the screen above a castle as Carey winked and kissed the camera.

“IT’S TIME!!!! ,” Carey captioned the promo clip.
