What exes Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover said about long distance dating

Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover were open about their long-distance relationship before their December 2024 split.

“We spend as much time as possible together and we’re patient with each other,” Conover shared Us Weekly exclusively at Hayu FanFest in October 2024 in London. “We’re a great place, and luckily, New York and Charleston are two great places to spend time. We just have to put in the work.”

The Bravo stars met during filming Winter house season 1 in February 2021, but their connection didn’t turn romantic until May. After three years together — and weeks after Conover denied breakup rumors — DeSorbo confirmed on his “Giggly Squad” podcast that the couple had split.

“What I wanted to say was that Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” he said Cottage star shared during the December 2024 podcast episode.

“I have so much love and respect for Craig,” DeSorbo continued. “I think he’s one of the best people I’ve ever met in my entire life. I’m going to remain his biggest fan and want the best for him and he’s really going to get the best because he’s the best.”

Location became a point of contention between the former couple throughout their relationship. DeSorbo wanted to stay in New York City—she even cried about leaving her family during a 2023 episode of Cottage — and Conover wanted her to move into his Charleston home. I have the (sewing down south) business that’s kind of flying right now, so we’re doing the best we can before we officially come together as a team.”

Conover told exclusively Us in September 2024 that he and DeSorbo “don’t let the unknowns of the future ruin our happiness today,” referring to their living situation.

“Sometimes it gets stressful and hard,” he admitted while promoting By The Way, his new Charleston bar and restaurant. “In reality, we don’t need to (live together) right now. With our ability to travel and technology, we are very fortunate to be able to spend half our time in New York and the other half in Charleston.”

He explained that they would not “pick a place” until children were involved.

“I could date someone who lived in Charleston and have that structure, but it wouldn’t be the right person,” Conover added. “I think finding the right person is the hard part, and then figuring out the rest will come with time.”
