Arizona Cardinals TE Trey McBride reaches 1,000 receiving yards

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is now a 1,000-yard receiver. He reached the milestone in the second quarter of the Cardinals’ Week 17 game against the Los Angeles Rams with his third catch of the game.

With his first three receptions of the game, he gained 46 yards, giving him 1,004 on the season.

The only other Cardinals tight end to have 1,000 receiving yards in a season was Hall of Famer Jackie Smith, who had 1,205 in 1967, the only season in which he accomplished that feat.

At the time, McBride had 95 receptions, already a franchise single-season record for the position, breaking the record he set last season with 81 receptions.
