This year he will be joined by Carrie Underwood who will serve as his co-host. The singer will also join him on American Idol in the new year, serving as a judge alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

Underwood will not only host but also perform at the celebration along with several other musical guests such as Alanis Morisette, Blake Shelton, Lenny Kravitz, Teddy Swims.
