Toledo man accused of pistol-whipping woman, shooting at her and stealing car

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Police arrested a Toledo man who allegedly shot a woman and took her car.

De’Mario White, 20, of Toledo, was wanted for an alleged assault and robbery on Dec. 18. Police issued an arrest warrant, which was returned Dec. 23, records show.

Police affidavits allege that White pistol whipped a woman he knows during an argument, causing a contusion to her eye. He then allegedly fired several shots into the air, turned and fired at the woman. A bullet grazed her leg, the police said. Charging documents went on to say he took the victim’s car after he fired the shots.

He was in court Dec. 26, where a judge set bail at $50,000 on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
