Fox News royalty Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt celebrate Christmas with engagement at their home church

Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt are officially engaged after Hannity popped the question in church over Christmas.

The newly engaged couple said they ‘couldn’t be happier’ in an announcement Thursday on Fox News Channel, taking their relationship to the next level years after their romance was revealed by DailyMail.com.

“We are overjoyed and so grateful to our families for all their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” Earhardt and Hannity said.

The couple notified their ex-spouses ahead of their announcement and stated that ‘everyone supports each other’.

They kept the details of the proposal private, other than to say that he proposed at their ‘home church’ and that this was the ‘perfect place’ as they have forged their deep faith and ‘put God first in their relationship’.

Hannity, who turns 63 on Monday, lives in Florida while Earhardt, 48, stays in New York, but the pair have made their long-distance relationship work with weekend trips. This will continue for the foreseeable future.

“With mutual respect for each other’s careers, both Hannity and Earhardt have long-term agreements to remain with Fox News Media, where Earhardt will continue to host ‘Fox & Friends’ from New York, while the prime-time star will continue to host his eponymous show ‘Hannity’ from Florida,’ the network said.

Rumors of the Fox News hosts’ romance had been reported for years, but the two repeatedly refused to comment on the speculation until DailyMail.com broke the news of their relationship in 2023.

Hannity’s divorce from wife Jill Rhodes, with whom he shares two children, was first reported in 2020. They separated in 2015 but managed to keep it quiet.

Meanwhile, Earhardt and her second husband Will Proctor separated in 2018 and their divorce was finalized in 2019.

In Thursday’s announcement, the couple stated that they ‘still get along’ with their exes and that Earhardt and her ex-husband are continuing to raise their daughter amicably.

“We actually made them aware that this was happening beforehand,” the couple said.

DailyMail.com confirmed the couple’s budding romance in April 2023 with exclusive photos of the pair arm-in-arm at a South Carolina Waffle House and at an oyster festival in Long Island, New York.

“They started out as best friends and the relationship developed over time,” a source close to the couple told us.

They then began spending time as a blended family with Earhardt’s now nine-year-old daughter Hayden – the product of her marriage to one-time Clemson quarterback Proctor – and gave them her full blessing.

And Hannity’s new $23.5 million home, an eight-bed, 10.5-bath Spanish-style home on a barrier island off Palm Beach, Fla., will be a perfect spot for the family.

Situated on nearly two acres of land, it boasts a pool that glows in the evening, a dock, a balcony and a rooftop observation deck.

It also has a bar, wine room, elevator and fireplace.

Hannity announced earlier this year that he would broadcast his radio show, The Sean Hannity Show, from his new home in the Sunshine State, which attracted him for its conservative political climate.

“We are now beginning our first broadcast of my new home, and it’s in the free state of Florida,” he said in January 2024.

‘I’m out. I’m done. I’m done. New York, New York, goodbye. Florida, Florida, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. But it’s great to be here’.

Earhardt has been a regular guest, but must be based in New York, where Fox & Friends is filmed.

A source close to the couple told DailyMail.com: ‘They had only seen each other at the weekend as Ainsley lives in the city and Sean was on Long Island.

‘So the only difference now is that they will travel by plane instead of a car back and forth to Long Island.’

Earhardt has been married twice. She joined Kevin McKinnon in 2005, but it was over in 2009. Three years later, she married Proctor, but when she suddenly stopped referring to him on Fox & Friends in 2019, it became clear that relationship was finished.

Hannity and Rhodes, who were married for 29 years, have two children, Patrick, now 26, and Merri, 23.
