The Mega Millions jackpot has increased to an astonishing $1.15 billion for the Friday, December 27 drawing with a cash option of $516.1 million.

This marks the sixth largest jackpot in the game’s history and, if won, would be the largest December jackpot ever.

This incredible increase comes on the heels of the record $1.128 billion Mega Millions jackpot won in New Jersey earlier this year, which ranks as the fifth largest jackpot in history.
