Grinch arrested by New Mexico State Police

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police are warning people to be on the lookout for thieves this holiday. And on Tuesday they nabbed the most notorious Christmas criminal of them all after receiving reports of stolen presents.

An unexpected intruder attempted a robbery in front of the New Mexico State Police. The green suspect turned out to be on the most wanted list for stealing gifts from children at local schools. today, officers alerted students at the Rio Grande Educational Collaborative. To their surprise, they discover the green burglar, later identified as the Grinch, trying to sneak away with more presents. The police then chased him.

Footage showed the Grinch trying to escape, running in the gym, the cafeteria and even outside in the parking lot. Eventually the officers caught and handcuffed the green agent. After the arrest, children embraced the Christmas spirit, showed kindness and greeted the grinch with open arms.

But police said no crime can go unpunished. Police said the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes, but he is still facing charges of burglary, resisting arrest and impersonating Santa Claus. The Grinch has yet to make his first appearance in court. KRQE News 13 will keep you updated as his case progresses.
