Patriots’ Jerod Mayo takes tough stance on heated Christmas movie debate

The 1988 feature film “Die Hard” starring Bruce Willis takes place on Christmas Eve, which has sparked heated debate over the years.

“I’m a huge ‘Home Alone’ guy,” Mayo told reporters, according to the team-provided transcript. “It was in my time. So is the big debate or back and forth, is ‘Die Hard’ a Christmas movie, and I say it is. It is. It is.”

The Patriots will enjoy the holiday with their families on Wednesday before Saturday’s matchup with the Chargers at Gillette Stadium.
