Patriots’ Jerod Mayo takes tough stance on heated Christmas movie debate

The New England Patriots are preparing to host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17.

New England head coach Jerod Mayo previewed the game while speaking to the media on Tuesday. He also spoke to a long-standing Christmas debate.

The 1988 feature film “Die Hard” starring Bruce Willis takes place on Christmas Eve, which has sparked heated debate over the years.

Is “Die Hard” a Christmas movie?

“I’m a huge ‘Home Alone’ guy,” Mayo told reporters, according to the team-provided transcript. “It was in my time. So is the big debate or back and forth, is ‘Die Hard’ a Christmas movie, and I say it is. It is. It is.”
