Ryan Seacrest fans congratulate him on his career milestone

Ryan Seacrest always has something coming up, and he’s celebrating one of his most beloved TV gigs with quite a milestone!

As fans well know, the media mogul is super busy hosting Wheel of Fortune and American Idol on the television. Well, every New Year’s Eve, Ryan also emcees ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Evewhich has been on the air live from New York City since 1973. He attended the annual celebration beside Dick Clark back in 2005, and he’s been a part of the hour-long show ever since.

Now, after two decades of hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s EveRyan marks a major milestone with the program. Not only will he be back as co-host of the show (along with new American Idol judge Carrie Underwood), he will also mark his 20th time as the face of the series. What’s more, New Year’s Eve‘s official Instagram chose to commemorate the special moment for Ryan with a video montage ahead of the 2025 broadcast.

“20 years of iconic countdowns with @ryanseacrest! ,” the caption read on Dec. 13. “Join us as we celebrate his two-decade legacy on #RockinEve! Don’t miss the party → New Year’s Eve at 8/7c on @abc!”

When people found out that Ryan would be celebrating a television milestone in his career, it was no surprise how quickly they congratulated him in the comments.

“20 years that’s amazing, hope to see you do 30 more! Now dim the lights! ,” one person wrote. “That’s amazing! You’re doing such a great job @ryanseacrest I hope to get there one year to see the ball drop! It’s on my bucket list,” declared another. “To Ryan, the best man for the job,” another follower added.

Now, how will this version of New Year’s Eve be different from Ryan’s shows in years past? Along with Carrie helped lead the festivities to ring in 2025, ABC reported a number of beloved singers will perform from several parts of the country.

From New York City, fans will see TLC light up Times Square with a special performance, while Blake Shelton will perform from Las Vegas. Among other familiar faces, appearances will include Alanis Morissette, Renee Rapp, Natasha Bedingfield and several live on the west coast in Los Angeles.
