Macaulay Culkin is Santa Claus in Kim Kardashian’s creepy ‘Santa Baby’ video

“Home Alone” star Macaulay Culkin plays another iconic Christmas character – Santa Claus – in the music video for Kim Kardashian’s cover of the Christmas classic “Santa Baby”.

Directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, the found-footage-style flick sees a blonde Kardashian crawling on the floor through a house party, leading viewers to discover strange vaguely Christmas-themed scenes. These include: models playing Twister, a live donkey accompanied by the Virgin Mary, Jesus opening a refrigerator, a woman trimming a Christmas tree with a clipper, and businessmen petting a reindeer mascot. At the end of the clip, Kardashian finally falls for Santa, and the camera turns to reveal Culkin dressed as St. Nick, holding an old VHS camera and giving an unsettling smile.

Kardashian’s cover of “Santa Baby,” with her understated and soulful vocals, plays quietly in the background of the video. The song, which marks Kardashian’s first musical release in 13 years, was produced by her brother-in-law Travis Barker and released in collaboration with his DTA Records and Columbia Records. Fans of “The Kardashians” reality series may remember that Kardashian recorded a “Santa Baby” cover back in Season 3, though it’s unclear if this new release is the same version of the song.

Originally performed by Eartha Kitt in 1953, “Santa Baby” is one of the most popular Christmas songs and has been covered by Madonna, Ariana Grande, Cher, Kylie Minogue, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani and more.
