Carrie Underwood performs at church and Lainey Wilson names her favorite honor

When Carrie Underwood isn’t performing in front of thousands of screaming fans around the world, she sometimes pops into smaller venues for a spirited performance close to home. Underwood made a surprise appearance at a Nashville-area church recently. Her talents came to light when she performed several Christmas favorites at the church’s annual holiday concert. Worshipers said Underwood’s song gave them chills.

Speaking of country leading ladies, Lainey Wilson’s career has been a whirlwind (hence the name of her latest album). She took home CMA and Grammy awards. She is also an ACM Triple Crown winner. While she’s grateful for that recognition, the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer said being invited to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry was better than any award she could receive. Being a part of Opry history “takes the cake” for Wilson.
