Which shops are open at Christmas? Are there any grocery stores or pharmacies open?

If you need a last few things for under the tree or for Christmas dinner, there are a handful of places to go.

Most major chains, including Walmart, Target, Costco, Sam’s, Kroger, Winn-Dixie, Aldi and Publix, are closed on Christmas Day. Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Sprout’s are also closed on Wednesday, December 25. Rite Aid pharmacies are closed.

Dollar General will also be closed Christmas Day.

So where can you go?

Walgreens Christmas hours will depend on the type of store. Most of its pharmacies will be closed on December 25, with the exception of 24-hour locations, which will remain open.
