It’s that time of year when you see the snow fall and the homes are decorated with colorful holly. You’re sipping hot peppermint cocoa as you join the queue, because Winter Wonderland has returned for Overwatch 2. We’re bringing some good ole yule tide fun along with even more collectibles that can’t be beat. So keep reading to discover what additional surprises are in store this holiday season for you to play for.

Login rewards wrapped for you

This event has already kicked off, all bright and cheery, with adorable gifts that are festive and cheerful. A new snowflake icon that looks crystal clear and a new party hat icon to bring in the new year. And what is it? Also a new trinket? It’s an adorable Darumari souvenir just waiting for you. These treasures will fill you with joy when you just log into Overwatch 2 and get them FREE.

6v6: The more the merrier!

If you’ve been looking for challenging ways to play, oh boy, we’ll make your day. We are fighting through the snow with now 6-6 games on King’s Row. With two tanks now on each team, you can be sure the jingle bells will be ringing. The rules are 2-2-2 as you should be familiar with, but our newer heroes will make things peculiar. Our patch notes will have some balance changes to make things fair, make sure you read them so you can prepare. January 6th is when the experiment ends, be sure to group up and play with your best friends.

Play your favorite winter fights

When you invite your friends by clicking their BattleTag names, you don’t have to be stuck playing silly reindeer games. Your favorite winter brawls are in the Arcade, packed with loads of winter fun every time they’re played.

Mei’s Snowball Offensive is first on the list, featuring your favorite climatologist. Whether you’re playing 5v5 elimination or free-for-all deathmatch, the snowballs fly with intense dispatch. Then go in search of a carnivorous Yeti, in the 5v1 brawl that will leave you in a frenzy. That’s right, Mei’s Yeti Hunt is back, so be sure to carefully plan and lay your trap. And if that’s not enough fun in this celebration, let’s line up for some Freeze Flash elimination. It’s Overwatch’s take on freeze tag, where eliminations aren’t as permanent because allies can thaw you out so you can get back into it. Whichever of these winter brawls you decide to play, you can be sure that you will have fun every day!

New challenges for new gifts

Whether you’re playing Arcade, Quick Play or Competitive, there are new rewards you can earn that are incredibly lucrative. You can already earn the Casual Hanzo skin right now, and that’s how to complete the Winter Wonderland challenges. There are also new sprays and name cards to fill the halls, but surprise… we now have more rewards for you all. In previous Winter Wonderland events, there was a brand new skin to earn for free, but starting December 19th, we’re giving you the chance to earn THREE!

Three new challenges will appear that will reward three legendary skins that will premiere. When you complete just three fun and festive games, the Merry Marionette Echo Legendary Skin will be won. Playing a total of six games won’t leave you frostbitten, because Cassidy’s new Legendary Skin and Highlight Intro will be nice and cozy. Finally, playing nine games will be just as sleek with Widowmaker’s Legendary Skin and Highlight Intro that’s totally winter chic. And don’t forget it! Wins count as double. So it really shouldn’t be too much trouble.

You’ll earn sprays, player icons, and name cards… just no cans of beef hash, but we’ve got three more holiday skins to add to your stash.
